When an in-house human resources departments wasn’t in the budget for BC Solutions CEO Erik Chernik, he turned to G&A Partners to help alleviate some of the administrative burden that comes along with a growing business.
“When we started with G&A Partners, we couldn’t afford to have our own human resource team in house. I was playing a very large role in human resources myself,” Chernik says. “As we’ve gotten bigger and G&A can take more off my plate, it’s allowed me to focus on the growth of the business.”
BC Solutions, a supplier of building automation and controls products, has experienced tremendous growth recently, with 125 employees, 14 locations, and five acquisitions in the last three years. Chernik credits G&A with being “instrumental in helping us transition the new employees.”
Chernik explains that the initial conversation with G&A Partners was comfortable, and they were able to get a proposal quickly and easily. He says that the conversation felt more consultative, and that the Business Advisor he was speaking with felt like a trusted advisor.
“G&A’s technology is a nice, user-friendly portal that I can tap into [and] our employees can tap into very simply to get answers and information,” says Chernik.
When describing his relationship with the HR advisors at G&A, Chernik expresses how they are in constant communication to stay up to date with the company’s growth, employee relations, and business needs.
“If you’re a small company or distributor like us and you are getting caught in the weeds of the administration and not being able to focus on your core business, explore G&A Partners to take some of that administrative function, save some costs, and help you with some of your employee relationship processes and issues, and catapult forward into growing your business with an engaged employee population,” says Chernik.
